Meremeta Community Initiatives Organization, have officially and sincerely decided to start an organization where the profit will go back to our community by helping orphans, children living in difficult environments and Empowering women to combat Poverty

Project Goals

Our Goals in each Projects done at Meremeta Community Initiative aims to:

  1. Support for Orphan and Vulnerable Children
    • Provide access to basic needs such as food, shelter, healthcare, and education for orphan and vulnerable children.
    • Establish mentorship and counseling programs to support the emotional and psychological well-being of these children.
    • Promote skill development and vocational training to enhance future employability and independence.
  2. Agriculture Projects
    • Implement sustainable agricultural practices to improve food security and nutrition within the community.
    • Train community members, especially youths and caregivers, in modern farming techniques and agribusiness
    • Develop and maintain community gardens and farms to serve as both a food source and an educational tool
  3. Environmental Conservation
    • Initiate tree planting and reforestation projects to combat deforestation and improve local biodiversity.
    • Raise awareness about environmental conservation through community workshops and educational programs.
    • Promote recycling, waste management, and the use of renewable energy sources within the community.
  4. Community Engagement and Collaboration
    • Foster partnerships with local, national, and international organizations to support and expand the initiative’s projects.

Meremeta Community Initiative Organization (MCIO) is a legally Registered Non Government organization (NGO) which registered on 19 th July,2022. With a Registration Number OONG0/3515 to operate in Buhigwe District.

Vision

The Meremeta Community Initiatives Organization has the goal of establishing strategic projects that will benefit the youth economically and get rid of the dependence on employment where the profit will go back to the community by helping orphans and those living in difficult environments with school equipment.

Mission

Meremeta Community Initiatives Organization has a mission to rid the youth economically of getting rid of the dependence on employment and instead be self-employed due to the Group's projects where the amount of profit obtained will go to help the community by providing school equipment at the primary level for orphans and children living in difficult circumstances where they fail to continue their studies due to the challenge of lack of school equipment.

MCIO Operation Team Make a physical visit to the village Executives Officer, where he/she start to mention all children who are vulnerable or orphans and then with his help, a team make a visitation to each family where there is an orphan or vulneable child. On approval and questionning of the family member the child then registered to gain the help concerning the school stationery and school uniforms

Yes, The aim of MCIO is to help large number of children who live in a dangerous environment, as it state its goal is to help children, then to be Beneficiary an age limit is between 5 years and 17 Years. For the time being, when I child is receiving the uniform and stationery, MCIO plan to provide Education on how to rise a financial Funds of each child using a lawfuly way.

Apart from helping children, MCIO request Project implementation supervision in the District so that we can get fund to ensure these children get their basic need in time. Also We ensure Women and Men in the society live in peace by providing Education about bad cultural practises like windows inherintance and etc.
